'Electrica is an experimental lab in sonic interactivity on the web - a homage to the sounds and graphics of electricity. Enjoy virtual instruments, amazing stereosounds and sonified images!' Built using Beatnik and made up of 5 main areas :

The starting point of the project was a closed-down transformer station in Jena in the east of Germany... requires Netscape 4!

Leib is a flash tool for mixing images and sounds. You can use Leib online or download it . The offline mode enables you to personalize Leib with our own sounds or graphics. The whole interface is controlled by the keyboard : switch sounds on/off and create/manipulate graphics. The sonic and graphical elements seem to be independant from each other.

An online Java Synth with six main screens : Filter 1 & 2, TR30X, Autosynth, Drumsynth and Master. The automat is playing an array of sound (like a looping tape). The array is updated with data from the various modules whenever new data is available. To reflect changes on the controls, the sound is constantly recalculated. The effect of the computation, copying, and synchronization is that whenever a change is made it takes a little while before you actually hear the change. Doesn't seem to work in FireFox...

Infinite Wheel's Dub City Rockers site contains numerous "Dub Selectors" which are small interactive sound interfaces worthy of checking out, usually with one or two main loops in the background and mousing over various objects adds "hit" sounds into the mix, quite hypnotic...

AMIS (Asynchronous Music Information Streams) is a software MIDI interface based on the ideas of granular synthesis. It is not a granular synthesizer which works by means of altering the physics of a sound rather it is a method of organizing MIDI information - based mainly on the asynchronous cloud streams approach of organizing granular synthesis events.

AMIS also requires the CPS Browser plugin as well as Shockwave.
