Cheeze Machine [String ensemble synth] by Big Tick

VSTWinMac added 23/06/2002

Cheeze Machine

Cheeze Machine emulates the classic string ensemble sound, made popular by such classic synths as the Crumar Performer or the Arp Solina. It generates sound by feeding a simple, saw-like waveform, into a chorus ensemble emulator, a 6-stages phaser, and a reverb.

Cheeze Machine is available in 2 user interface flavors: the "classic" interface pictured above, or a smaller "metal" interface. With up to 32 notes polyphony, and an incredibly low CPU usage, you can now play these big phazed string pads like crazy.

  3. Jarre Machine for Oxygene impersonations. I use it loads as the main strings synth. It sits lovely in the mix swirling away as long it is not too loud. I'm an old git at heart and still love cheezy phasing. The only thing i have a problem with is the sound edits have to be saved to an instrument file otherwise the synth loads with the original preset. This is a pain in the a**e if your lazy like me.
